MOST IMPORTANT: • Cisco Routing/Firewall • Security • Troubleshooting • Configuring • International Experience a plus Responds to complex problems escalated by the help desk and/or Data Center Operations staff pertaining to firewall and network related hardware and software products supported by IT. • Provides technical guidance and consults with vendors and other systems support units to identify and resolve complex client problems. • Alerts clients and team members when a major problem is suspected. Performs recovery testing to confirm availability of system where outages have occurred. • Interact and coordinate activities between vendors and Client related to network monitoring and troubleshooting. Ensure that problems and changes are properly documented, support groups notified, and issues resolved to prevent production impact to Client. • Support business or other division within the department to establish client/server & firewall requirements. Understands and can interpret network topology diagrams. Represents the organization in enterprise-wide meetings and in crisis management situations. Required Experience: • 2+ years of IT experience such as operations and/or programming. • Networking background, knowledgeable of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and LAN/WAN routing and switching. • Ability to provide off-hours support 24/7 as needed. Preferred Experience: • Experience supporting network and firewall equipment on a global team. • Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, and Cisco Firewall and networking platforms. Skilled with packet analysis tools and protocol analyzers. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. • Good oral and written communication skills, and good listening, analytical, and problem identification skills, including the ability to work effectively with vendors to resolve technical problems. • ADP or equivalent certification preferred, or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. US citizenship is a requirement for certification.
