BurgerFi is a fast-casual restaurant experience serving all natural Angus beef hamburgers along with fresh-cut french fries, hot dogs, beer, wine, and custard, all while playing high energy music in an industrial themed atmosphere. We are one of the fastest growing restaurant concepts in the country with over 120 locations sold in the East coast region this year alone. Sunshine Burgers LLC is a local franchisee of the BurgerFi brand with rights to most of the Central Florida area (including the Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, and Palm Beach areas), and we plan to grow to at least 20 locations in the coming years. WWW.BURGERFI.COM This position is for a manager who will act as an Assistant Manager at our Winter Park location on Park Avenue at Fairbanks Road upon store opening, and should progress into the General Manager role within the following 6 months. Requirements include, but may not be limited to: • A positive, outgoing, energetic, can-do attitude, focused on delivering an outstanding experience to every guest, developing staff and managers, and operating a highly profitable restaurant • 2+ years of current or recent experience as a salaried manager in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant concept, or 2-4 year degree in restaurant or hospitality management with some restaurant experience • Strong leadership, influence, communication, and problem solving skills (must be able to quickly earn the respect of a staff as the leader of a business) • Strong understanding of how to build sales through the use of different tactics and strategies both in and out of the restaurant • Able to quickly and effectively solve issues in the restaurant and prevent them from reoccurring by using procedures set forth by the company and/or creative problem solving and critical thinking • Naturally works with integrity, leads by example, and upholds brand standards at all times • Able to set expectations, delegate, and follow up on multiple tasks at once • Experience with hiring, training, developing, coaching, counseling, and terminating staff members (including managers) to build and maintain a high-performing team • Motivates staff by creating a positive and rewarding atmosphere for employees to achieve their goals and grow with the business if they wish to • Understands the restaurant industry and the importance of different aspects of the operation • Some experience with analyzing P&L statements and identifying opportunities to improve profitability • Admits to and learns from mistakes to continue improving performance • Able to stand for entire shifts without a break and lift up to 50 pounds regularly • Able to work mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with rotating shifts and varying days off, as directed by the General Manager or Multi-Unit Manager. BurgerFi is open every day of the year, and availability for all of those days is required • Available to train in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 weeks in May prior to this location opening. Duties & responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: • Completely understands the Operations Manual and is responsible for ensuring all aspects of daily operations conform to franchise policies and standards. • Develop and foster a work environment where all employees are free from harassment of any kind. • Acts as community ambassador, creating goodwill toward the BurgerFi brand. • Performs and/or oversees regular inventory procedures, including ordering, taking physical inventories, controlling waste, etc. • Ensure that all guests feel welcome, receive great service, and have an outstanding experience on every visit • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. • Make employment decisions including hiring, discipline, and termination. • Work or assist on production stations where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. • Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. • Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining are cleaning and maintenance. • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs. • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant's receiving policies and procedures. • Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis. • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met. • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures. • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests. • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively. • Develop, plan and carry out restaurant marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns. • Schedules and conducts periodic meetings with employees to discuss and/or correct problem areas or areas of concern. • Communicate regularly with the General Manager and/or Multi-Unit Manager to create, execute, and monitor a business plan to focus on sales growth, staff development, and increased profitability.
