Job Description

Our client is a publicly traded profitable global data innovation leader delivering software to manage, integrate and analyze data, in the cloud or on-premises, throughout the entire data life.  With over 10,000 customers worldwide, they enable their customers to quickly and easily move and share data between multiple databases, applications and hosted systems. Their Database Integration software delivers speed to market, top line revenue growth, and increased profitability to corporations, software vendors and systems integrators.

 

Our client is seeking 2-highly motivated, curious, internet savvy sales professionals to develop new business and to expand their footprint within a large install base of new and existing Channel partners across the US. This position will focus on selling data integration software that is used for data warehouses, e-commerce, and enterprise application integration to Channel partners in the  Financial Services, Sales (CRM/Sales Automation), and other Software industries. Our client's software enables their customers and partners to quickly and easily move data into large data stores (including Hadoop) and run sophisticated analytics in record-breaking time.

 

If you have a degree, offer at least 1-2 yrs of inside sales experiene selling a technical product or software and are looking for a company that promotes from within and will put you on a fast track to outside software sales, this is the company for you. Although this role requires heavy prospecting and new business development, it is a hybrid role in that you will get to travel at least 25% of the time or more to visit your newly developed Channel Partners in person.  Average length of sales ranges form  4 weeks to 4 mths.  and can vary from $3000.00-$90,000.00. 

 

Our client offers a track record of stability for over 15 yrs. in Austin, 4-6 weeks of training + full benefits, and no caps to your commission.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for high volume sales prospecting and managing sales pipelines via Salesforce.com

• Search for new Channel sales opportunities and develop the lead from start to finish with mgr. and sales engineer support

• Make outbound calls to increase qualified leads.

• Close or assist in closing sales

• Develop prospecting tactics, email marketing campaigns, qualification skills, product knowledge, product demonstration techniques, pricing structure and competitive positioning knowledge, and time management skills

• Perform administrative and cross-functional requirements relating to sales

 

Required Experience and Education:

 

• 4 year college degree

• Requires a basic knowledge of sales methods and techniques, inside or outside sales experience

• Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong organization skills to produce quality work, meet tight schedules and coordinate with other staff members

• Basic skills in the use of various business applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, etc

• Requires initiative and the ability to influence events in order to achieve results, rather than passively accepting them.

• Requires the ability to make cold sales calls without reluctance

 

Preferred Experience and Education:

 

•2-4 years in sales or business development relating to business or technical software products and services, including channel development.
